Texas Here We Come

Well well well it seems like Elon Musk is on the move again. This time he's taking his beloved SpaceX and moving its state of incorporation from Delaware to Texas. The man knows how to make a dramatic exit doesn't he?

Delaware Court Ruling Backfires

Why the sudden move you ask? Well it all started with a pesky court ruling that demanded Tesla another one of Musk's ventures to cancel his hefty 2018 pay package. Apparently $56 billion in options is too much for the Delaware Chancery Court to handle. So what does Elon do? He packs his bags and heads straight to Texas leaving Delaware in the dust.

Neuralink Follows Suit

But wait there's more! Musk isn't stopping at just SpaceX. His other company Neuralink has also decided to change its incorporation location this time to Nevada. It's like a game of musical chairs but with businesses. Who knows where they'll end up next? Kansas maybe?

The Musk Effect

Elon Musk doesn't just make moves for himself. No no no. He's a man of the people always thinking of others. He's encouraging fellow businesses to ditch Delaware and find a new home elsewhere. If Tommy Shelby had his way he'd probably say 'If you're still incorporated in Delaware you're about as useful as a blind horse at the races. Time to make a change lads.'

Shareholder Vote on the Horizon

But Elon isn't done yet. He's planning on giving Tesla shareholders a chance to voice their opinions on the company's move to Texas. Tommy would say 'Democracy eh? Who would've thought the lads and lasses with a bit of stock would hold so much power?'

Musk's Hail Mary

And just when you thought the drama was over Elon Musk is gearing up for an appeal to the Delaware State Supreme Court. He's not giving up without a fight. 'I'll be damned if they take away my options,' you can almost hear him saying. This man is determined I'll give him that.
