Jim Cramer's Homestretch Update: Disney's Magic Quarter, Arm's Chip Rally, and DuPont's Water Woes

Market moves

Well folks the S&P 500 is making another run at 5,000 it's like trying to get a LuluLemon yoga pants sale on Black Friday! The Nasdaq is also heating up just 1.5% away from its November 2021 record close. And the Dow well it's steady as a tortoise in a turtle race. Let's hope these market moves bring us more green than Kermit the Frog!

Magic quarter

Hold onto your Mickey Mouse ears because Disney had a magical quarter! The Club name and Dow stock surged 12% making it feel like Goofy on a sugar high. They're on a mission to make their direct to consumer business profitable like Scrooge McDuck swimming in gold coins. And hey if Nelson Peltz thinks more than cost cutting is needed then we better take notice. Time to put on our superhero capes and save the day!

Chips up

Stop the press! The semiconductors are up again and they're sending shockwaves through Silicon Valley. Arm Holdings the chip designer rallied over 50% after strong earnings. I guess you could say they're on fire hotter than a jalapeño chip dipped in salsa. And let's not forget about our good pals Broadcom and Nvidia reaching fresh all time highs. They're like the Batman and Robin of the tech world always saving the day!

New highs

Move over Mount Everest because we've got some stocks reaching new highs! Palo Alto Networks is the gold standard in cybersecurity just like Wonder Woman with her indestructible shield. And Costco well they've got all aisles on fire. I guess you could say they're the Superman of retail saving us from empty shelves and long checkout lines.

Readthroughs

Time to put on our tool belts and check out the building products companies. Trex and Azek are on the move thanks to Masco's strong quarter. It's like a construction crew building the perfect Pro level fortress. And you know what that means? Stanley Black & Decker is ready to rock while Home Depot is gearing up for a slam dunk quarter. Let's get our DIY on!

Other musings

Just when you thought Wall Street couldn't get any more interesting we've got some water quality issues in China. Apparently their rivers and lakes are about as safe as trying to swim with sharks while wearing a meat suit. But let's not forget about Club name DuPont who's been dealing with some serious de stocking of inventory. It's like trying to swim upstream with a boulder on your back. But fear not they're expecting a turnaround and a $1 billion buyback announcement. Let's hope they can flush away their troubles!

What's next

Time to catch our breath and enjoy the evening without any earnings reports from our portfolio companies. But don't worry we've got a special treat for you on "Mad Money" tonight. I'll be interviewing GE Healthcare CEO Peter Arduini. It's like having Iron Man himself in the studio. And let's not forget about tomorrow when Affirm Pinterest DexCom Expedia and Take Two Interactive will be taking Center Stage. Oh and PepsiCo is reporting too. Phew it's like a superhero movie marathon!
