They are now rolling out complimentary Wi Fi on board their commercial flights thanks to a partnership with SpaceX's Starlink. Suddenly the idea of being disconnected during a long haul flight seems so passé.

Hawaiian Airlines CEO Peter Ingram shared his excitement about the new offering stating that SpaceX has 'cracked the code' when it comes to delivering high quality connectivity at a global scale. Finally we can binge watch our favorite shows without any buffering interruptions even at 35,000 feet!

While JetBlue Airways and Delta Air Lines have already been offering Wi Fi on board their flights Hawaiian Airlines is taking it up a notch. Not only are they providing complimentary Wi Fi but they're doing it with the help of Elon Musk's SpaceX. Move over JetBlue and Delta because Hawaiian Airlines just raised the bar!

Chad Gibbs SpaceX's vice president of Starlink business operations couldn't contain his excitement about the partnership. According to him having Wi Fi on a commercial flight now feels like an experience that should not be possible. It's like being able to teleport into the digital realm except without the need for a Star Trek transporter. Beam me up Scotty!

Out of This World Connectivity

Hawaiian Airlines signed an agreement with SpaceX to utilize the Starlink network which boasts more than 5,000 satellites orbiting the Earth. With this partnership Hawaiian Airlines expects to set a new standard for connectivity on airplanes. Who needs to be grounded when you can stay connected to the internet from anywhere in the world?

Delayed but Worth the Wait

The installation of Starlink terminals on Hawaiian Airlines' aircraft was delayed due to the need for SpaceX to launch more satellites and receive certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. But as they say good things come to those who wait. Now passengers can enjoy the wonders of inflight Wi Fi thanks to the determination of Elon Musk and his team.
