Jim Farley: Forget About Tesla Focus on Ford Pro

In a galaxy far far away Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley has boldly declared that investors should shift their focus from Tesla and its fancy FSD driver assistance systems to the Detroit automaker's own "Pro" fleet business. Farley compared the Pro unit to the legendary Deere & Co. a force to be reckoned with in the farm equipment industry. Cue the lightsabers because Farley believes that Ford Pro is the future of the automotive industry.

Ford Pro: A Rising Star

With pretax earnings doubling last year to a whopping $7.2 billion Ford Pro is soaring through the galaxy like an X wing fighter. Farley proudly proclaimed that this unit has half a million subscribers all willing to join the epic battle against Tesla. With a 50% gross margin Ford Pro is gaining ground showing off its impressive armor and weaponry for business customers.

The Force is Strong with Ford Pro

"Look to Ford Pro young Padawans," Farley commanded. Ford expects the Pro unit's pretax earnings to reach between $8 billion and $9 billion this year leaving its traditional "Blue" business in its dust. As for Tesla's Model e EV business well it seems to be heading towards the dark side with projected losses of $5 billion to $5.5 billion. Ford Pro is vanquishing the competition lightsaber in hand.

The Mystery of Tesla's FSD Revenue

Tesla's FSD driver assistance software marketed as its Full Self Driving Beta remains shrouded in mystery like the secrets of the Jedi. Ford on the other hand is wielding the power of transparency sharing that it expects revenue from its Pro unit to increase to $2,000 per vehicle annually. That's enough credits to hire a bounty hunter or two.

Ford Pro: The Undervalued Star

"Ford Pro is our secret weapon," whispered Farley. Some on Wall Street agree echoing that sentiment. Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas even compared Ford Pro to the illustrious Ferrari noting that it's undervalued just as Ferrari once was. Ford's Ferrari is ready to take the automotive world by storm unleashing its true power.

EVs on the Horizon

While the force of electric vehicle (EV) demand may be slower than expected for consumers fleet customers are embracing the all electric vehicles faster than a podrace. Ford is channeling its energy into developing next generation EVs that promise to be profitable within a year of launch. Farley's Jedi senses are tingling sensing a bright future for Ford's EV offerings.
