Bezos executed these sales under a trading plan that went into effect in November. With this plan he has the potential to sell up to a staggering 50 million shares of Amazon. It seems Bezos is not content with ruling the galaxy but wants to dominate the stock market as well.

During this recent round of sales Bezos offloaded around 12 million Amazon shares at an average price of $169.50 per share. That's definitely a hefty price tag even for a Jedi Master like him. Perhaps he's using the proceeds to fund a Death Star renovation project?

One of the reasons behind Bezos' recent move from Seattle to Miami is his desire to be closer to his space exploration company Blue Origin.
