Morty we've got gene therapies now!

Well well well looks like health officials are facing a pickle (or should I say a pickelhaube) in making sure everyone has access to these expensive treatments. You want to treat sickle cell? Get ready for some intensive medical preparation Morty. It's not like we can just throw some Mega Seeds into the mix and call it a day.

Dr. Julie Kanter's not feeling schwifty about this

Julie Kanter says even if they opened the gates to the therapy for all only 10% might actually want it. Kind of like how I wouldn’t give up my portal gun for just anyone. You've got to earn it Morty.

High cost low coverage

What's with all these high prices? It's not like we're talking about schmeckles here. I'd rather spend that kind of money on intergalactic cable Morty. At least you get some entertainment out of it.

The Biden administration to the rescue?

Finally someone's stepping up to negotiate prices! Maybe they can score some discounts. It’s like when Birdperson scored us those passes to Blips and Chitz. That was a good day Morty.

Employers in a bind

Employers are sweating over how to pay for these treatments. It's like flipping a coin Morty heads you can cover it tails you go bankrupt! And who knows if the employee is even going to stay around long enough to benefit from it!

Guess we'll just have to keep waiting Morty

Well Morty it looks like we'll have to wait and see how this all pans out. Hopefully someone figures out how to make these treatments more accessible. Who knows someday we might even be able to use gene therapy to enhance the intelligence of Mr. Goldenfold. Oh the possibilities!
