A humorous take on airlines raising bag fees and the rationale behind it

Autobots Roll out!

So it seems that airlines are at it again raising their prices to check a bag. Looks like they want to transform our wallets into empty vessels.

One Step at a Time Optimus.

United Airlines American Airlines and JetBlue are leading the charge charging more if you check your bags at the airport or close to departure. Guess they want to keep us on our toes or wheels if you prefer.

To Check or Not to Check That Is the Question.

A bag check online in advance will save you some energon I mean money. But do it at the airport and you'll pay extra. Airlines claim it helps them get travelers to their gates faster. Seems like a questionable strategy to me.

Prime Directive: Optimizing Efficiency.

It seems American Airlines raised its bag fees this week and added the two tiered approach. Trying to make bag checks smoother for our human friends I suppose.

Luggage Fees: More Than Meets the Eye.

Why are airlines doing this you ask? Ah the evergreen excuse of higher costs and profitability. Guess it's all about keeping their base fares low and their pockets deep.

Southwest Airlines the True Hero.

But fear not weary traveler! Southwest Airlines remains a beacon of hope allowing customers to check two bags for free. Now that's what I call a heroic move!
