Defeating Fraud One Tomb at a Time

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron has delivered a ruling in Donald Trump's civil business fraud trial ordering him to pay over $350 million in penalties. Engoron also banned Trump from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or legal entity for three years and from applying for loans from certain financial institutions. Looks like New York is truly taking a page out of my tomb raiding adventures to combat business fraud!

Appeal with Confidence Just Like Raiding Tombs

Of course Trump's attorney Chris Kise is confident that they will win the appeal. Kise said "President Trump will of course appeal and remains confident the Appellate Division will ultimately correct the innumerable and catastrophic errors made by a trial court untethered to the law or to reality." Well it's like when I encounter a challenging puzzle in a tomb; I never give up even when things seem impossible.

The Explosive Trial: Inflated Assets and Ill Gotten Gains

The trial stemmed from a lawsuit by New York Attorney General Letitia James accusing Trump and his company of fraudulently inflating his assets to boost his net worth and gain financial advantages. James had asked the judge for a lifetime ban and $370 million in disgorgement but instead Engoron fined Trump a whopping total of $354,868,768. That's one expensive treasure he just lost!

Junior Tomb Raiders Face Fines and Bans

Not only did Trump face the consequences but his two adult sons Eric and Donald Jr. were also ordered to pay fines of over $4 million each and are banned for two years from serving as officers or directors of any New York corporation or legal entity. Looks like the next generation of tomb raiders will have to take a break from their plundering!

No Corporate Death Penalty for the Trump Organization

While the judge imposed fines and bans he decided not to cancel the defendants' business certificates revoking what some called a "corporate death penalty" for the Trump Organization. Looks like they'll live to raid another day but with less financial perks.

Trump's Legal Battles: A Presidential Obstacle Course

Trump seems to be collecting lawsuits like artifacts in my adventures. He's dealing with numerous criminal and civil cases and last month he was ordered to pay $83.3 million for defaming writer E. Jean Carroll. He can't seem to catch a break! I wonder if he needs a Tomb Raider to help him navigate through his legal obstacles.
