Ha ha ha! Looks like The Trade Desk had a little visit from yours truly The Joker and boy did I leave my mark. Their stock soared over 18% after they issued impressive first quarter guidance and beat revenue expectations. Who needs Batman to save the day when you have me!

Surpassing Expectations with a Smile

Earnings per share came in at 41 cents adjusted slightly missing the mark at 43 cents but who's counting? The fun part is that their revenue reached a whopping $606 million leaving the analysts a bit puzzled. They were only expecting $582 million. I guess I'm not the only one who likes to play tricks on people!

Sales Soar Like a Bat out of Hell

In the fourth quarter The Trade Desk's sales jumped 23% from last year reaching $491 million. Now that's what I call a high flying leap! And net income rose 37% to $97 million bringing a big smile to their faces. It's no joke when I say they're making serious money out there.

For the first quarter The Trade Desk expects sales to be at least $478 million surpassing the analysts' estimates of $452 million. Looks like they've tapped into my crystal ball predicting their own success. Must say they have a talent for making things disappear – like their competition!

Hold onto your hats folks! The Trade Desk's board has given the green light for $647 million in share repurchases. That's a lot of cash to play with. They're bringing out the big guns just like me. Who knows maybe they'll even buy their own Joker themed bat cave!
