Sarah Connor weighs in on Spirit Airlines' financial struggles and future prospects

Taking Flight Amidst Turbulence

So it seems Spirit Airlines is facing a bit of a bumpy ride lately. The failed merger with JetBlue Airways and a slump in domestic fares have left them with an uphill battle. But fear not my friends for the indomitable Sarah Connor is here to impart some wisdom on the matter.

Liquidity is King Baby

According to Spirit Airlines CEO Ted Christie all this talk about the airline having to restructure or liquidate is just a bunch of nonsense. He proudly proclaims 'Liquidity is always king and we have enhanced our levels to give us the necessary flexibility to successfully close with JetBlue or to pursue our stand alone plans.' You go Ted!

Cutting Costs? That's My Specialty

Naturally in order to stay afloat Spirit Airlines is looking for ways to cut costs. They're adjusting their network and shifting their aircraft delivery schedule among other measures. Sounds like a job for a seasoned survivor like me. I'll teach them a lesson or two in resourcefulness.

Spring Break is Coming Brace Yourselves

Spirit Airlines is banking on strong bookings during the upcoming spring break period. It seems like their optimism is sky high just like the T 800 in pursuit. Let's hope the bookings don't vanish like Terminators into thin air.

Flying High with Fourth Quarter Results

In the fourth quarter Spirit Airlines reported better than expected results. Their adjusted loss per share was $1.36 outperforming the anticipated $1.46. The total revenue was in line with expectations at $1.32 billion. Looks like they're making progress but they still have miles to go.

Grounded in Reality Thanks to Pratt & Whitney

Spirit Airlines has been dealing with grounding issues due to malfunctioning Pratt & Whitney engines. Who needs Skynet when you have engine problems causing disruptions? They expect to have 25 Airbus aircraft grounded this year with a peak of 40 in December. Keep your engines running smoothly folks!
